The ancient legend of commerce and the symphony of diverse civilizations

Xi'an, Gansu, Xinjiang, and Ningxia jointly compose the long song of the Silk Road. The vast army of the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi'an, the flying frescoes of the the Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang, the sweetness of the Grape Valley in Turpan, Xinjiang, and the desert camel bells in Shapotou, Ningxia, all together outline the magnificent picture of "desert smoke straight". There is both the courage of 'Zhang Qian chiseling through the air' and the persistence of 'Xuanzang retrieving scriptures' here.
From the morning bell on the ancient city wall of Xi'an to the sunset at Jiayuguan, from the Crescent Spring on Mingsha Mountain in Dunhuang to the hustle and bustle of the Grand Bazaar in Urumqi, from the mystery of the Western Xia Mausoleum in Ningxia to the exotic charm of the ancient city of Kashgar, every place tells the story of the Silk Road. The fragrance of Pita bread soaked in Lamb Soup, the sweetness of raisins, and the mellowness of hand pilaf add to the flavor of the Silk Road.
Our planned itinerary includes revisiting the Silk Road to experience the grandeur of 'urging you to drink more', visiting the Mogao Caves to appreciate the spirit of flying, and tasting Silk Road cuisine to experience the romance of the 'grape wine night glass'. Every step is a deep exploration of the 'China Silk Road', and every moment is filled with the symphony of civilization.

Luxury accommodation in this area

There are many incredible places to stay. Here are some of our favorite campsites and hotels carefully selected by our travel designers:

  • Near by The Bund

As the 30th Aman hotel in the world, the project took 16 years and cost 3.3 billion yuan. It relocated 50 ancient residences from the Ming and Qing dynasties and 10,000 ancient camphor trees from Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province over a distance of 800 kilometers. It was designed by Pritzker Prize winner Kerry Hill, integrating Huizhou-style architectural elements with modern minimalist aesthetics, creating a spatio-temporal dialogue of "rebirth of ancient residences".
  • Near by The Forbidden City

The hotel was created by international design masters by integrating elements of Ming and Qing imperial architecture with modern minimalist aesthetics. The blue tiles, upturned eaves and glass curtain walls complement each other, inheriting the imperial grandeur of the red walls and yellow tiles of the Forbidden City while connecting the courtyards with streamlined covered Bridges, creating a garden atmosphere of "a new scene at every step", allowing guests to experience the luxurious abode of Oriental elegance in the heart of the city. All 57 guest rooms and suites are equipped with custom rosewood furniture, cloisonne decorative items and intelligent temperature control systems. Some room types feature private courtyards or viewing terraces, offering direct views of the red walls of the Forbidden City or the bamboo scenery in the courtyards. The bathroom is paved with Italian marble and is equipped with a double jacuzzi and a separate shower head, complemented by exclusive amenities from Mandarin Oriental, creating an immersive Oriental bathing experience.
