Shanghai J Hotel

Shanghai J Hotel

Shanghai J Hotel is located on the 84th to 120th floors of Shanghai Tower, No. 126, Dongtai Road, Pudong New Area. With a vertical height of over 556 meters, it is one of the world's tallest hotels and was developed by Jinjiang International Hotels Group over a period of ten years. The hotel design is led by renowned writer Lu Haiyan, integrating new Chinese style with modern fashion. The new Chinese-style guest rooms interpret the charm of Jiangnan with relief wallpaper featuring pavilions and terraces, sofa fabric with dragon patterns, and hand-blown glass floral bedside ornaments. The modern and fashionable guest rooms feature magnolia crystal glass, wire-reinforced glass and beige calfskin wall panels, embodying the spirit of craftsmanship. The 165 guest rooms and suites range in size from 61 to 380 square meters and are distributed on the 86th to 98th floors. Each room is equipped with an intelligent temperature control system, Italian Frette bedding and panoramic floor-to-ceiling Windows. Some room types offer a view of the Huangpu River, the Bund or the skyline of Lujiazui.

The dining space features seven distinctive restaurants and bars: Tianzhijin Restaurant on the 120th floor, standing at 556 meters, holds the Guinness World Record for the "World's Tallest Restaurant". It specializes in Huaiyang cuisine such as chestnut truffle snowflake beef and Golden Leg Chicken Head Rice Steak with Chinese Cabbage. Jin Shang Tian She Japanese Restaurant serves kaiseki cuisine and teppanyaki. Jin Yan Chinese Restaurant offers high-end Cantonese cuisine. Shanghai 101 Italian Restaurant focuses on the cuisine of southern Italy and the Mediterranean. It once invited Javier Estevez, a one-star Michelin chef from Spain, to launch an olive-themed menu. The Yijiu Lounge offers champagne, whisky and seafood platters and is a popular spot for nightlife.

The hotel has specially set up the "Cloud Treasure Tour" cultural experience program, where the butler will explain the hotel's aesthetic concepts and local culture, such as the metal wire ballerina sculpture in the lobby and the "Aerial Ballet" art installation on the 101st floor. The recreational facilities include an 84-story high-altitude swimming pool (with a vertical height of nearly 400 meters and a 130-square-meter viewing platform), a Tainojian equipment fitness center and a spa center. Within a three-kilometer radius, there are scenic spots such as the Oriental Pearl Tower, Binjiang Avenue, and the observation deck of Shanghai Tower. It is within walking distance of Lujiazui Station of Metro Line 2, and only 16.97 kilometers from Hongqiao International Airport.

  • Near by Jing'an Temple

As the pioneering work of the Pu series hotels, the hotel was designed by designer Jaya Ibrahim. With the concept of "Urban Paradise", it deeply integrates traditional Chinese architectural elements with modern minimalist aesthetics - the exterior facade adopts blue bricks, grey tiles and teak grilles. The 32-meter African teak long table and the golden brick floor in the lobby are of the same origin as the Forbidden City, complemented by the view of the floor-to-ceiling Windows with swaying bamboo shadows. Create an Oriental Zen-like space with "a new scene at every step".
  • Near by The Bund

The hotel consists of two buildings - the historic main building and the modern tower. The exterior facade of the buildings blends British classicism and Baroque elements, with arched gates, Ionic columns and a 34-meter-long black and white marble corridor bar (once known as the "No. 1 Bar in the Far East") perfectly recreating the glory of a hundred years ago. The interior was designed by Japanese architect Kikutaro Shimoda. Blending decorative art with contemporary luxury, Swarovski crystal chandeliers and hand-painted murals interweave to create an immersive experience of "a new scene at every step".
  • Near by The Bund

The hotel is invested by the Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels Limited. The Kadoorie family continues their century-old bond with Shanghai. It became a landmark on the Bund upon its opening in 2009, adjacent to the Waibai Bridge and the former British Consulate Garden. It is within walking distance of historical sites such as Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the Shanghai Postal Museum.
