A Slow Dance Through Lingnan's Lights & Bites

Guangzhou→ShenZhen→Foshan

This is a wonderful game about "fast and slow" : the cloud heartbeat of Guangzhou Tower, the sea speed of Shenzhen Shenzhen-China passage, the clay whispers beside the ancient kitchen in Foshan. I took the high-speed train to catch up with the sunrise, riding a bicycle into the alley, in the steaming heat of the sausage powder, suddenly read Lingnan - it kind of modern high-rise into the thousand water and soil, let the milk tea cup ring blue and white porcelain.

Come with me, to taste the world taste of Guang-style morning tea, to listen to the electronic reverberation of Dongmen Old Street, to hold a south wind ancient stove is still hot kiln ash. Three cities, three kinds of temper, but they share the same Cantonese phrase: 'Drink tea at leisure'.

The first stop: Guangzhou · The meeting of morning light and river wind

Guangzhou in the morning, like a bowl of steaming boat porridge, delicate with the lively city. From the hotel in Zhujiang New Town, take Metro Line 3 to Guangzhou Tower. When the elevator rises 450 meters, the whole city stretches beneath - the Pearl River winds like a silver belt, and the clusters of riding buildings in the old city intertwine with the glass curtain walls of the new district like an unfinished poem. At the top of the tower, the "extreme speed of the sky" jump plane, so that the heartbeat and the clouds fly together, and give birth to the pride of "wanting to be higher than the sky" .

Afternoon transfer to Shamian Island. It is as if time has pressed the pause button here, and the European-style buildings are mottled and scattered under the shade of banyan trees. Choose a street cafe, order a cup of silk stockings milk tea, watch the light and shadow dancing on the old brick wall. Encounter the newlyweds taking wedding photos, white gauze and red walls, even the air is immersed in romantic sweet.

In the evening, take the Guangfo line to return to the Pearl River, and the sea bridge in the night is like a harp across the two sides. The river wind blows, the boat lights and neon reflections break into stars, and the headphones just ring "Pearl of the Orient" - at this moment, the prosperity and tenderness of Guangzhou are in the eyes.

The second stop: Shenzhen · Cross-sea Bridge and street collision

The next morning, take the high-speed train from Guangzhou South Railway Station and arrive at Shenzhen North Railway Station half an hour later. The city's pulse is surprisingly fast, but our first stop is the Shenzhen-Zhong Passage. Driving through this "dragon on the sea", the bridge is like a silver chain into the blue waves, the sea and sky meet the shimmer, and there is an illusion of "sailing to the future" between trance.

In the afternoon, they turned to Zhongying Street. This small street of less than 250 meters, left hand Shenzhen, right hand Hong Kong, shops with Hong Kong-style milk tea and Cantonese herbal tea aroma interwoven. When taking photos in front of the "boundary monument stone", an old lady intoned in Cantonese: "Before the border permit can come!" The weight of history now turns into a cage of shrimp dumplings in the tea restaurant on the corner.

Break into Dongmen Street at nightfall. Neon signs grow like a jungle, and the fireworks of roasted oysters fill the drums of electronic music. Try on a trendy T-shirt, stall owner big sister bold discount: "beautiful boy, you!" Shenzhen's youth and tolerance come alive in the laughter of bargaining.

The third stop: Foshan · Ancient stove fireworks and tongue on the lake

From Shenzhen Futian Station to Foshan Shunde by high-speed rail, only 40 minutes. The first station went straight to Fengjian water township, black awning boat shook the stone arch bridge, the boatwoman hummed the saltway song, the Banyan tree on both sides dipped in water, the old house wall bougainmei open unbridled. Buy a bowl of hand-ground sesame paste, squatting on the dock to see Ah Gong repair fishing nets, time is slow enough to hear the heartbeat of running water.

In the evening, they broke into Lingnan Tiandi and turned the black brick wok ear house into a cultural and creative space. In the "Minxin old shop" double skin milk, milk skin wrinkled like satin, the entrance is melted. The sound of Cantonese opera was heard in the tea house next door, and young people were seen taking selfies with coffee in the corner - the collision of tradition and trend, which was so neat.

The next day to visit the south wind ancient stove, 500 years of the dragon kiln still swallow the smell of clay. When trying to pull billet, the mud ball in the palm of the circulation, suddenly understand the "Shiwan tile, Jia world" pride. Before you leave, pick a bright teacup and fill it with stories.

This three-city trip is like opening a box of Guangzhou-style mooncakes - Guangzhou is the dense lotus seed paste, Shenzhen is the refreshing ice skin, Foshan is the solid five Ren. When the high-speed train once again passed the Pearl River estuary, the sunset dyed the deep channel gold red, suddenly understood: the magic of Lingnan, is that it can accommodate the ambition of skyscrapers, but also keep the body temperature of the SLATE
