Nanjing 3-Day Immersive Experience Itinerary: Grey Bricks and Painted Tiles

Day1 Sacred Summit Sanctuary + Exclusive Treasure Gallery

📍 Niushou Mountain(Sacred Ox Summit)(3 hours)

Take the shuttle bus directly to Foding Palace at the mountain top – its golden dome is truly awe-inspiring! The underground palace within holds the sarira of Sakyamuni's skull bone. An elevator goes directly to the 6th-floor observation deck, offering a panoramic view of entire Nanjing city.

Tips: Wear non-slip shoes! Strong winds at the summit – don’t forget a jacket!

📍 Zhou Garden Museum(2 hours)

China's Biggest Private Museum! Explore treasure-filled rooms with rosewood furniture, antique clocks, and colossal golden nanmu wood sculptures. The museum's most prized treasure is a replica of Shen Wansan's legendary wealth-attracting treasure basin from Ming Dynasty.

Fun Tip: Look for a storyteller to unlock secret treasure tales!

Day2 Imperial Gardens & Republican Charm

📍 Xuanwu Lake+Plane Tree Avenue(4 hours)

Rent a bike to cycle around the lake! Liangzhou Island's Ginkgo Avenue is breathtaking in autumn, and the tulips at Lover's Garden are a must-visit in April.

Take a walk along the Plane Tree Avenue from Zhongshan Wharf to Pumen Station at dusk – 1,800 London plane trees form a "Green Tunnel," incredibly romantic under the setting sun!

📍 Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum(2 hours)

The joint tomb of Zhu Yuanzhang (Ming Dynasty founder) and Empress Ma – the stone statues along the spirit path exude a strong sense of history! Rub the elephant's trunk for good fortune, and look for the arrow marks on the qilin (mythical creature) for a touch of legend!(Traces of the Taiping War)

Hidden Gem: Feed sika deer at Changsheng Deer Park – admission with a 30 RMB feed pack!

Day3 Zen-inspired Scenery of Mountains and Waters + Spending the Night by the Qinhuai River

📍 Donglu Mountain Guan Yin Temple(2 hours)

A hidden gem temple away from the crowds! A 40-minute hike to the summit reveals a towering Guanyin statue that overlooks the shimmering lake below. Don’t miss the vegetarian dining hall—their pickled radish is surprisingly flavorful and pairs perfectly with rice!

Surprise: The bamboo forest behind the temple is home to wild macaques. Bringing bananas might lead to a "robbery" by these adorable creatures!

📍 Laomendong Historical Quarter + Confucius Temple + Qinhuai River(4 hours)

Laomendong's Hidden Gems: Explore intangible cultural heritage shops showcasing Jinling Gold Foil (南京金箔), Yunjin Brocade (云锦), and delicate paper-cut art. Don't miss Lu's Steamed Plum Cake (陆氏梅花糕)—it's worth queuing for!

The Confucius Temple commercial street is perfect for buying vacuum-packed Nanjing salted duck. Take a night cruise along the Qinhuai River—book tickets in advance! The reflection of Wende Bridge in the shimmering lights is absolutely stunning.

Pro tip: Costumed characters who offer to take your photo charge fees, so please ask for prices first!
