Introduction to Scenic Spots

Fanjing Mountain, located in Tongren City, Guizhou Province, is a national nature reserve and a world natural heritage site. The total area is 775.14 square kilometers, including a heritage site area of 402.75 square kilometers and a buffer zone area of 372.39 square kilometers. Fanjing Mountain is one of the earliest places in southern China to rise from the ocean to land, dating back approximately 1.4 billion years. This place preserves the subtropical native ecosystem and is home to over 7100 species of wild animals and plants, making it the only habitat for the Guizhou snub nosed monkey. In addition, Mount Fanjing is a cultural famous mountain with a history of more than 2000 years. It has a profound Buddhist culture and was praised as the "master of famous mountains in the world" by the Ming Dynasty's Wanli's "Inscription on the Gift of Confucius".

Introduction to scenic spots within the scenic area

Mushroom Stone: An iconic landscape of Mount Fanjing, formed by weathering, with a unique shape resembling an experienced old man standing quietly at the top of the mountain.

Red Cloud Golden Summit: also known as the New Golden Summit, it is the first wonder of the Buddhist Pure Land. The peak is majestic and towering, with a towering pillar that overlooks the magnificent scenery of Fanjing in 360 degrees. In the morning, red clouds and auspicious energy often surround the surroundings, hence the name Red Cloud Golden Summit.

Laojinding: With a high altitude, it is an excellent place to overlook the panoramic view of Mount Fanjing. Climbing to the top of Laojin Mountain, the magnificent scenery of Fanjing Mountain is fully visible, and the distant peaks are faintly visible in the clouds and mist.

Wanmi Sleeping Buddha: Composed of continuous mountain peaks, the head, body, and limbs are clearly distinguishable and lifelike. From a specific perspective, the sleeping Buddha's face appears serene, as if he is guarding Mount Fanjing in deep sleep.

Cheng'en Temple: With a long history and solemn solemnity, it is an important symbol of Buddhist culture on Mount Fanjing. The buildings in the temple are simple and elegant, with cornices arch of wooden architecture and carved beams and painted rafters.

Pudu Square: With a wide view, it is an important place for tourists to gather. During Buddhist festivals, grand religious events are held here.

Black Bay River: The water is clear to the bottom, like a lively ribbon. The riverbank is rich in vegetation, and the scenery varies throughout the four seasons.

Taizi Stone: A solitary peak stands tall with a unique shape. Legend has it that it is the incarnation of an ancient prince, surrounded by steep cliffs that are difficult to climb.

Fenghuang Mountain: With dense vegetation and extremely high forest coverage, it is home to numerous rare animals and plants. The fresh air in the mountains is known as the 'natural oxygen bar'.

Scenic Spot Tour Route

It is recommended to enter from the east gate, take the cable car halfway up the mountain, then hike to Mogushi, then proceed to Hongyun Jinding and Laojinding, and finally return to the east gate. This route not only saves energy, but also allows you to enjoy the main attractions of Mount Fanjing.

Best viewing season/not recommended travel season

Best viewing season: Spring and Autumn. In spring, the azaleas on the high mountains bloom proudly, adding a touch of brightness to the mountaintop; In autumn, Mount Fanjing dons its most dazzling dresses and the scenery is enchanting.

Not recommended tourist season: winter. The weather is cold, some scenic spots may be closed, and the mountain roads are slippery, which is not conducive to sightseeing.

Scenic Area Transportation

Public transportation: Take the high-speed rail from Guiyang to Tongren (ticket price is about 100 yuan, travel time is about 1.5 hours), then transfer to a bus to Fanjing Mountain (ticket price is about 30 yuan, travel time is about 2 hours).

Private car: Starting from Guiyang, driving along the Shanghai Kunming Expressway, the journey takes about 4 hours and the distance is about 300 kilometers. There is a parking lot in the scenic area, which is convenient for self driving tourists to park.

Distance and cost from high-speed rail, urban area, and airport: The bus fare from Guiyang Longdongbao Airport to Tongren is about 100 yuan, and the journey takes about 4 hours; The bus fare from Tongren City to Fanjing Mountain is about 30 yuan, and the journey takes about 2 hours.

Scenic spot tickets and other paid items

Ticket price: 100 yuan/person for a large ticket.

Other paid items: round-trip cableway 140 yuan/person, round-trip sightseeing bus 20 yuan/person.

Opening hours: 08:00-18:00, closing at 15:00.
