Scenic spot introduction:
The Shanxi Museum, located at No. 13, North Binhe West Road, Wanbailin District, Taiyuan City, is one of the first national first-class museums and the largest center for collecting, preserving, researching, and exhibiting cultural relics in Shanxi. Formerly known as the Shanxi Education Book Museum founded in 1919, the new museum opened to the public in 2005, covering an area of 168 acres with a building area of 52000 square meters and a collection of over 500000 pieces. It is renowned for its bronze, porcelain, stone carvings, Buddhist statues, and more.
The main hall is like a "bucket" or a "tripod", with four wings stretching out, and the four story building expanding layer by layer, with a light and airy eaves design. The external space adopts a traditional courtyard style layout, with four small pavilions arranged at the four corners of the main hall, surrounded by mountains, overlooking like birds flapping their wings to fly.
