Tengwang Pavilion is one of the three famous buildings in the south of the Yangtze River. It is 57.5 meters high, with a construction area of 13,000 square meters, and the main building is nine floors, which is an imitation Song style pavilion. The whole building complex sits in the west and faces east, the negative city is near the river, near the Nanpu, and the west mountain is far away, and the architectural style is cheerful, bright, soft and elegant.

1. History

Tengwang Pavilion was originally built by King Li Yuanying of Teng in the fourth year of Tang Yonghui (653 AD), and in the second year of Shangyuan (675 AD), Wang Bo wrote the "Preface to the Pavilion of King Teng" here, making it famous all over the world. Since then, in the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, the Tengwang Pavilion has been rebuilt, rebuilt and burned down many times. In 1926, the Tengwang Pavilion was destroyed, and on October 8, 1989, the Tengwang Pavilion was officially completed and opened to the public on the basis of Mr. Liang Sicheng's "Sketch Plan for the Reconstruction of Tengwang Pavilion".

2. Attractions

  • Main Pavilion: There are seven floors inside, where you can enjoy the exquisite ancient architecture and historical relics, and feel its architectural art and historical heritage.

  • Yajiang pavilion, Rucui Pavilion: Located on the north and south sides of Tengwang Pavilion, it is a good place to enjoy the scenery of the river and the west mountain.

  • Tengwang Pavilion Night Scene Light Show: The Tengwang Pavilion at night is beautiful under the illumination, and the light show on both sides of the river adds gorgeous colors to it, showing the unique urban style of Nanchang.
